Contracts & Signing
The Contracts page has two distinct functions: a dedicated Split Sheet creation tool with in-app signing, and a document storage area for all other contract types (publishing agreements, licensing deals, sync licenses, etc.).
Overview
The page shows a summary of your total contracts, active contracts, total value across active contracts, and any contracts expiring within 90 days. You can filter by status or contract type, and search by title, counterparty, or song title. Split sheets and other contracts are displayed in separate sections.
Split sheets
Split sheets are the primary in-app contract creation flow. Click Split Sheet to open the dedicated form. It captures:
- Song title and optional notes
- Collaborators — each with a name, email, role (Songwriter, Producer, Co-Writer, Composer, Arranger, or Other), writer royalty share percentage, optional IPI number, country, and an optional publisher sub-share
- Record label share — an optional separate share for the label, with name, email, and country
- Governing law — the jurisdiction that governs the agreement
All shares (writer shares, publisher sub-shares, and label share) must total exactly 100% before the form can be submitted. Once saved, RosterRoyalties generates a printable PDF of the split sheet showing all contributor details, shares, and signature lines. New split sheets are created with a status of Pending Signatures.
Other contract records
For all other contract types — publishing agreements, licensing deals, writer agreements, sync licenses, distribution contracts, and any other documents — the Contracts page acts as a document storage and tracking tool. Click + Contract to create a record with:
- Title, contract type, and counterparty name
- Start date, end date, and optional renewal date
- Status, contract value, and currency
- An uploaded PDF document (optional)
- Internal notes
There is no in-app form for generating these contract documents — you create them externally and upload the PDF here for tracking and signing. If a PDF is attached, you can open the contract and sign it directly in-app: the document viewer shows the PDF alongside a signing panel where you enter your name and click Sign Document. The signature and timestamp are saved to the record.
DocuSign integration
ℹ Currently unavailable
The DocuSign integration is not yet active. The button is visible in the UI but sending documents via DocuSign is temporarily disabled while the integration is being finalised. Use the upload a countersigned PDF method in the meantime. When active, the DocuSignbutton will open a flow for sending any document for signature via DocuSign. You upload a PDF, enter the signer's name and email, and click Send for Signing. A contract record is created in RosterRoyalties and the signer receives a DocuSign email invitation.
