What's included in the free trial?

Full access to all features for 7 days. A credit card is required to start — cancel at any time before the trial ends and you won't be charged.

Can I change plans anytime?

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from the Billing section in your account settings.

What CSV column names does RosterRoyalties recognise?

RosterRoyalties reads title / track title / song title for track name; artist / artist name; isrc; royalty (£) / royalty for the royalty amount; units; store; and territory. All names are case-insensitive and BOM is stripped automatically. See the CSV Upload guide for the full column reference.

How does royalty splitting work?

You set a split_percentage(0–100) per track in the Track Splits system. When a statement is generated, RosterRoyalties multiplies each track line's gross totalby the split percentage to calculate the artist's royalty value. Read the Splits guide.

What are the statement statuses?

Statements move through three statuses: Pending (created, awaiting review),Processed (approved and ready to notify artist), and Paid (payment confirmed). Changing to Processed triggers artist notification. Marking as Paid triggers the payment confirmation email.

Can artists see their own statements?

Yes. Artists log into their artist portal to view statements, check their recoupment balance, download PDFs, and raise invoices.

How does recoupment work?

Add recoupable costs to a statement (recording costs, marketing advances, etc.). RosterRoyalties calculates net_after_recoupment automatically. Artists can see their running recoupment balance in their portal widget. See the Recoupment guide.

What is the difference between a statement type of Publishing vs Label?

Publishing statements cover mechanical, performance, and sync royalties (for songwriters and publishers). Label statements cover master recording royalties (for artists and labels). The type affects how breakdown columns are labelled on the generated PDF.

How do I manage multiple imprints or clients?

Create a separate Labelfor each imprint. Labels each have their own name, logo, and artist roster. Statements and emails for artists under a label automatically use that label's branding.

What are Purchase Orders (POs)?

POs are work agreements issued to freelancers before work begins. They document scope, rate, and payment terms. Once accepted, the freelancer references the PO when submitting their invoice. RosterRoyalties supports one-off, recurring, and onboarding POs. See the Purchase Orders guide.

Can I white-label the artist portal?

Yes. Custom branding (logo, label name) is included on the Professional plan. Your label logo and name appear on all statement PDFs, emails, and the artist portal. See White Label Portals.

What plans support multiple artists?

The Professional plan ($49/mo) supports multiple artists. The Artist Add-On ($8.99/mo) is a per-artist subscription for individual artists managing their own portal.

What is a Split Sheet?

A split sheet is a document capturing co-writer or co-producer percentage splits on a song. In RosterRoyalties, split sheets are created from the Contracts page. You can collect signatures by uploading a countersigned PDF. DocuSign e-signing is not yet active.
