For Labels & Publishers
The Host role in RosterRoyalties is designed for the business side of music — labels, publishers, distributors, and management companies who need to calculate, track, and distribute royalties to a roster of artists.
Who the Host role is for
You should sign up as a Host if you are:
- A record label paying artists on master recordings
- A music publisher distributing mechanical, performance, or sync royalties to songwriters
- A distributor passing through DSP income to artists
- A management company tracking earnings for a managed roster
- An independent artist who also manages other artists or a label imprint
→ Artists are separate
Artists you manage get their own separate portal login — they do not share your Host account. You invite them from the Artists and Freelancers page in your Host Tools sidebar. What you can do as a Host
As a Host, you have full control over the royalty workflow:
| Feature | What it does |
|---|---|
| CSV Upload | Import royalty income data from any DSP (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) using standard CSV exports. |
| Track Splits | Set per-track royalty split percentages for each artist. Bulk-upload via CSV or configure individually. |
| Royalty Statements | Generate branded PDF statements per artist and period. Publish to artist portals or email directly. |
| Recoupment | Track advances and recoupable costs per artist. RosterRoyalties automatically deducts them when generating statements. |
| Invoicing | Review and approve artist invoice requests. Issue Purchase Orders to freelancers. |
| Label Settings | Set your label name, logo, address, and PO defaults. Your branding appears on all statements, invoices, and the artist portal. |
| Multiple Labels | Create separate labels for each imprint or client, each with its own branding and artist roster. |
| Team Members | Add bookkeepers or assistants as team members with granular permissions. |
| Activity Log | A full audit trail of all actions taken in your account. |
| White Label Settings | Full brand override: custom colours, domain, and email sender for the artist portal. |
